How Cancer studies are organized in the registry
“Cancer” is the broadest term in the registry, and most oncology records list a specific cancer type rather than the umbrella word. If you are researching a particular diagnosis, the dedicated pages for that cancer type usually give a cleaner result set. Tumor-agnostic and basket studies are the exception — they often appear under generic terms instead of a single organ site.
These describe how studies tend to be titled and grouped on ClinicalTrials.gov — they are search vocabulary, not medical guidance.
